This is the real game. This sensor can detect motion. Let's say the thief is clever enough to hide inside the premises before they are locked. The contact sensors would not be able to sense him in this situation as he is already inside. 
This is where the motion sensor kicks in. Any sort of unwanted motion inside your locked premises makes the security system give you an alarm/call/both.
